We have one studio at La Muse, but have plans to build another soon.
It’s a big one, one we renovated with the help of a great barter fellow, photographer Kara Quinn from Oregon.
All the walls of the studio were painted with live lime giving the space a clean, bright and open feeling.
Situated beside the chapel it has a large Velux window in its roof as well as numerous glass tiles to allow the southern light into the space.
There are easels, horses and boards so that you can create your space how you feel.
There is also hot and cold water and a lot of art materials left behind by the many artists who’ve been here on retreat in the past.
We hold our art expos and shows at the end of retreats in the studio too.
Also, a lot of our artists work en plein air like New York artist Nicole Mayhew painting on the terrace below.
